Tri-Rotor Pump model 80B, which shares common components with model 100C and model 120A, is in the second to the largest family of Tri-Rotor solid head pumps that provide constant flow rates.  This relatively low cost pump is perfect for simple fluid transfer such as loading and unloading drums, totes, tanks, and trailers.  The pump serves a wide range of industrial markets and applications.  Examples of the 80B model’s diverse applications include pumping DTE lube oil, 500 oF asphalt, lime slurry, brine sludge, defoamer, dirty gear oil, grease slurry, ink oil, and animal fat.

The pump, available in both clockwise (CW) and counterclockwise (CCW) rotations, is designed with two threaded suction ports (side and top) and two threaded discharge ports (side and top) for the ultimate in installation flexibility.  Standard configuration is side suction and top discharge.  The other two ports are plugged with easily-moved pipe plugs.  One of these unique pumps could even be installed to deliver two different compatible fluids to two different locations.   Materials of construction for the 80B model include Iron Fitted, All Iron, Bronze Fitted, or All Bronze configurations.  Two drain plugs, located on the shaft housing, are provided with every pump.

As with all Tri-Rotor pump models, the 80B is available with a Steam Jacketed option for fluids requiring to be heated or cooled in order to be pumped.  Tri-Rotor also offers an interesting option for its’ 80B solid head design: a Reduced Stroke Pump Head.  With this option, the pump can be designed to target a specific flow rate at a percentage of full flow.
